We at Metro Atl. Floors are very excited for this years NBA playoffs and thought it would be fun to list what we think are the top 10 best NBA hardwood designs.  Our criteria was simple, we choose the court that we thought had the best aesthetic appeal and uniqueness.  Be sure to give your hometown Atlanta Hawks some support in their first round match up with the Indiana Pacers.  Hope you enjoy the list.

1. Staples Center – Los Angeles Lakers & Los Angeles Clippers

We couldn’t leave the Staples Center off the list with so many championships having been won there.  The Clippers are a squad to be reckon with this year as well.  LA fans sure have it lucky with both of their teams in the playoffs this year.

9.  Wells Fargo Center – Philadelphia 76ers

We enjoy the soft light brown grain of the court, as well as the 76ers unique logo.  Overall this court is very simplistic and one of the better designs in the league.

8. Verizon Center – Washington Wizards

The Wizards recently got a new uniform and court design updates.  They went with a retro look that resembles their days as the Washington Bullets.  We are fans of the new Wizards court design because of the different grains for inside and beyond the 3-point line.  We also like the new update in logo with the arm stretching for the ball.

7. US Airways Center – Phoenix Suns

Unfortunately the Phoenix Suns did not make it to this year’s NBA Playoffs, but be sure to check out their brand new hardwood design next season.  The Suns have updated their center court logo and have a new two grain court design.

6. Barclay Center – Brooklyn Nets

The Nets just moved into the Barclay Center this year, and already the arena is known as one of the most attractive hardwood flooring designs in the NBA.  They use alternating grains to create a subtle striped look to the court.

5. United Center – Chicago Bulls

The United Center has been one of the most memorable NBA hardwoods since the MJ days. Keeping the classic look of the 90’s the Chicago Bulls home court is still one of the leagues best designs.

4. Boston Garden – Boston Celtics

Speaking of classic NBA hardwoods, the Boston Celtics home court is probably most legendary court in the NBA.  The timeless parquet design is what the Boston Garden is known for the most.

3. Oracle Arena – Golden State Warriors

The Warriors got a new court design when the updated their logo and uniforms in recent years.  The yellow outline and key make the design of the court really pop visually.  The yellow accents have a way of highlighting the fun and energy provided by the bay area crowd.

2. Air Canada Center – Toronto Raptors

The Air Canada Center has the first NBA hardwood design to incorporate a 3D element.  Look underneath the hoop on both ends of the court.  There is a 3 dimensional Raptors banner that plays an optical illusion on your eye.

1. Philips Arena – Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks will always have the best hardwood design in our minds. Best of luck to Josh Smith and the boys in the first round against the Indiana Pacers.  We know you guys can do it! Go Hawks!
